Life Of A Poet

Sixty months in - My pen was my life
Writing to the end of days
So I thought I will
Things change - I changed
Everything seems so harsh

My pen was - Love at first sight
My only companion in distress
Fighting my pains through a book
Very great - Oh! so great
Everything seems so nice

Falling down the hill - So I was
Life of a poet, wasn't that great
Striving hard to make a living
So poor - Very poor
Everything seems so sad

So hard to - End my long night
My ballad, cut so short
Putting food on the table was my priority
Ah yes - Oh yes
Everything seems so falling

So dumb I was - Very dumb
Letting out my pains for people pleasure
To read, to laugh and to jest
Am so stupid - Very stupid
Everything seems like a joke

I knew I needed something - Just one thing
An audience, to hear my pain
To support and uphold my works
Very true - So true
Everything seems so foggy

This is my life - My sad life
A sad poet with a troubled mind
Not knowing what the future holds
Is it good - or bad
Everything seems so cloudy
